Sample Pack Review: Movie Dialogue 3

If you are looking for awesome old school movie dialogue samples to use in your projects without any licensing worries you must check out this series!
This is actually the third in a series of collections that feature old movie and public information film dialogue samples that are truly usable. Every installment in the series is good, so I decided to simply pick one at random to share here. Movie Dialogue 3 showcases samples from films like Cosmic Mission PhrasesThe DepressionThe Existential BakeryWhat No War and One Foetus Left. These samples are all 100% Authentic which means that whilst they have all been remastered, de-noised and de-clicked, they still retain artifacts from the original recordings, which gives them a much more authentic character. It also means that you can easily slice and dice however you like and still get amazing sounding results.

As I played around with these samples I found it much easier than expected to manipulate the samples, stringing several snippets of conversations together, re-mixed to create my own phrases and responses. They all fit well into a mix, cutting through with very little effort. And I really enjoyed the eclectic selection of phrases in this pack. It’s a lot of fun to piece together something unique, regardless of the type or style of music you produce.

Because this collection is from Loopmasters directly, you do not have to worry about licensing. All sounds are Royalty-Free and come with a Creative Commons License for your records. The Pack includes 824 Movie Dialogue Samples in 6 categories, with 11 patches in Halion, Kontakt, EXS24, NNXT and SFZ formats, so Movie Dialogue 3 is quite universal and ready to go. It’s presented in 44.1Khz 16bit .Wav format, so simply download it and start using these samples immediately!

A few things I really like about Movie Dialogue 3, and the other titles in the series:

  • The samples are largely unknown, so they are fresh!
  • The low cost and usability of the samples means I get more, for less.
  • I didn’t have to spend countless hours looking for amazing quality samples.
  • I didn’t have to worry about licensing or rights.
  • The other titles in this series are just as good as this one!
  • The voices and phrases sound like they come from something famous.
  • The files are organized and easy to manage.
  • It’s a download, which means I spent only moments getting the sounds and never stopped working in the process.
  • The samples are super clean, but still have tons of character and atmosphere.

Here is a short demo song using some of the samples included in Movie Dialogue 3 to give you an idea of how they work in a mix and the overall quality you can expect when you pick it up.

I hope this review helps you make a decision on whether Movie Dialogue 3 is a good fit for what you produce. Chances are, it is. If you have any questions about it, feel free to shoot me a message. I’m always happy to help!
